Harbes Family Farm and Vineyard has the best of both worlds. Kids have the run of the farm with hayrides and trick or treating at Halloween. The adults have wine tasting events and wine tours. The farm and vineyard came about when two high school sweethearts Ed and Monica Harbes wanted to start a new life in Mattituck. That was 1978 and these days the farm and vineyard are running like a well-oiled machine for kids and adults alike.
The vineyard is five acres of beautiful scenery and can be the backdrop that you need for a wedding or picnic outdoors. The tasting room can host a variety of events with a view of the vineyards in the distance from inside. You can even sip your wine outdoors picnic style or sitting in a patio chair having a conversation with old and new friends. Whatever events you are planning consider Harbes as your feature destination.
Harbes offers a corn maze with various activities, locally grown produce, merlot, and chardonnay from the local vineyard and homemade candy apples. Your nights can be filled with roasted corn and fresh squeezed lemonade while your kiddos run around and play or you can sip on a glass of locally made wine. There is a dino dig, live music, hayrides and pony rides too. The fall pumpkin festivals feature picking gourds and pumpkins, wagon train rides, sack races, fall décor and maze activities.
At Harbes, they have your family in mind. Friends can sit around and get to know one another again while the kids chase one another, snack on candy apples and go on hayrides. Harbes can become a yearly event that everyone can be a part of and that is a family tradition that never goes out of style.
